The Cheapest Airline Tickets? True Or False?
Posted on 16 May 2010
If you belong among “budget” people you always consider price of every item you buy. And if you want to save a lot you follow the latest airfare deals and try to book the cheapest airline tickets possible. But is it always true that these airline tickets are really the cheapest? No, of course.
You should be careful when buying budget flights because there could be very many catches. The very first thing you should focused on are the taxes and charges. You can e.g. find great tickets from only USD 1 but when you go through the booking you quickly realize that the price is not as low at all. Taxes and charges are often more expensive than the airline ticket alone.
So we have now realized that the first thing we must do is to check whether our airline tickets are including or excluding taxes. Another catch can be hidden in the final price of your flight. You should look carefully how much you will have to pay for your baggage. Hand baggage is free however checked baggage can be paid. You also have to find out how much you can carry – checked baggage can usually weigh 20 kg but you have to check it out at your airlines website because some low cost airlines allow only 15 kg.
More over there could be some fee for every checked baggage you have. And if your baggage weighs more than it is allowed you will have to pay excess baggage fee which can be very high.
So don’t take the airfare deals automatically and always consider which cheap flights are really cheap!
