Carribean Vacation With A Friend

I found the following question the other day on another site.  It is an example of not being able to think outside the box.

I  have a choice to go to the Caribbean or London. The Caribbean is a choice because I want to see and appreciate how beautiful it is with the the blue water and white sandy beaches. But, my best friend lives in London and will be leaving in a 1year. He really wants to see me as do I want to see him. But, I really want to go to the Caribbean too.

So what do I do? Should I be selfish?  If i go to London, where what should I go see? Any tips?

The simple answer is to use Kayak to find cheap airfare for both of you to go to the Caribbean and spend a week or so together.  This is the ideal time to go to the Caribbean as the tourist industry is hurting and prices have never been lower.
