July is an expensive time to fly. Also Southwest Airlines does not fly into Atlanta. An option you can look into is to fly into Boston from Atlanta using AirTran.

From Atlanta, your best bet is going to be to fly to Boston. You can fly straight into Providence, but generally you can get a better fare to Boston, and then you can take either Amtrak or MBTA (The “T”) Commuter Rail to Providence.
Generally, Southwest provides great fares to Providence (PVD), but unfortunately, they aren’t yet in Atlanta. (They say they’ll NEVER come to Atlanta, but they used to say that about Denver, too.)
You can simply search on Kayak.com or Dohop.com. Both sites are so called flight search aggregators, they have information on a lot of flights and you should find some good flights there.
